Pool Party!!!!!

Brecken and Frank celebrated their birthdays at the Ivory's new beautiful home where we had a blast! We swam, the boys had a serious game of water basketball, we roasted marshmallows, had a dance off in the courtyard where Ty taught Lillian the "grocery shopper" dance move, and ate good food of course! The birthday boy..........
and the birthday girl who had the MOST DELICIOUS marzipan birthday cake! How could Ty say he wants a boy when he is such a sucker for all his girl neices???? I love these girls to pieces!

Okay I love boys too! His little face melts my heart!

Happy Birthday Becky!

For Ty's mom's birthday we went to the Cheesecake Factory to celebrate! This is where we told Ty's family about the baby. However, no one was surprised because I was sick in Phoenix a few weeks earlier and asked alot of questions about babies! (I have never been a very good secret keeper....) But we had a great time and the food was great as always! Happy Birthday again to Becky! We love you!

So Long and Farewell to the Morgans

At the end of June we had a really fun BBQ with all of our friends to say goodbye to the Morgans. They are off to Boston where Bryson will be attending Harvard Law School. We are sad to see them leave but we are also excited for them and the adventure they have ahead of them.
We announced to all of our friends that we were expecting that night. Ty offered to say the prayer before dinner and he blessed the pregnant ladies one by one and included my name at the end. It was really fun to see everyone's reaction! But we couldn't let the night go by without taking a picture of the 4 pregnant girls.

The honored guests who we will miss!

Why do I feel like a dead mommy at age 23 and have no children yet????

So it all started when I was in Phoenix with my family on a girls trip that I started having a panic attack about how matronly I feel. I don't know if it is because I hang out with my little sister and her friends who are definitely more hip than I am or if it is because I am just getting older but it is getting scary.... So I thought I would do a little top ten list (Letterman Style) on why I might be feeling this way more and more...........

10. I have to wear a shade shirt under almost every stinkin' shirt I wear anymore.... I don't know about you but I seriously get so sick of the layers I have these days!

9. I have started wearing Danskos. (*Disclaimer: Please no one be offended I think they are cute and soooo comfortable. Obviously that's why I wear them but for some reason I have always linked them to moms. But like I said please no offense!)

8. I just ordered my first tankini (*Please don't judge :))

7. I no longer wax my eyebrows or dye my eyelashes in order to save money

6. I have smashed fruit snacks and pretzels all over my purse

5. I nanny four kids for my job (sure glad I got that finance degree!!)

4. My bottom is growing at an ever increasing rate

3. The permanent location at my house is the couch from the second I get home until I leave again except for the occassional run to the bathroom to hang over the toilet

2. I plug my nose everytime I walk by the pantry

1. It's probably pretty obvious after #3 and #2 but it is true! I am pregnant!!!!! I am 10 weeks along and I think the best way to describe how I feel is a dead mommy! But oh it is so worth it!

On a more serious note I just want to say how grateful I feel that Heavenly Father has blessed me with the opportunity to be a mom! Anyone that knows me very well knows I love kids and have dreamt of this day ever since I was five playing dolls. I am so grateful for Ty and the support he has been throughout the last six months as we have gone through this rollercoaster and I just pray everyday that the little tadpole in my tummy is growing into a happy healthy baby. I know we both have a lot to learn about being parents but I am so excited for the journey and grateful that I have him as my partner. Like I said before I am just so humbled that Heavenly Father has trusted me with one of his children and I hope that I can be the best mom possible.

Any one have a guess on the sex? Don't worry Ty wears a blue shirt to every doctor's appt and won't even discuss girl names so we'll see if it works. (.... I know! I know! I have tried to educate him on how the sex is already determined but he doesn't seem to care!)

Catch Up Post

So I thought I would update my blog on what we have been up to since another month has gone by and I haven't post anything again. I thought I would just kinda tell it in order:

First in May I went on the annual Chapman girl's trip to Scottsdale. I was so much fun! It was so nice to get out of cold Utah and enjoy some R&R with the sistas. Of course I don't have pictures to document cause I am a horrible person and forget my camera everywhere I go.

Next we experienced the American Idol drama. Let's just say I looooooove David Archuletta! Ty was reporting at Murray Highschool when he came and performed so he got Brecken, me, Maggie and Ellie up in front of the chain link fence practically on the front row. It was so much fun to watch him in person. I must say he sounds even better live and he is so stinkin' cute. It is also so fun for me to watch my cute husband in action. When we lived in Idaho I would go with Ty on alot of the stories or I would go to the station and watch him anchor. But ever since we have moved back I never get to go with him. People always ask me if it is fun to see him on TV but I must say I like to be there watching him in action getting interviews, seeing what goes on behind the scenes and feeling the adrenalin that goes along with his job. He is just so dang cute all dressed up and acting so professional!!

The next crazy thing we did was MOVE! Most of you know we have been living at my parents house since last September. We had been saving money and looking at houses and debating on WHERE we want to live and WHEN was the good time to buy and WHAT KIND of house to buy (townhome/house) and we have finally decided NOT to buy! More reasons than one pointed us into living in a duplex for another year or so until the time was right. But we knew we couldn't live in the basement on OAK HOLLOW anymore. So we started painting.......... and painting......... and painting.............. Anyone that has painted before knows how freaking long it takes and what a pain it is. But between Ty and I, my family, Ty's family and of course my heaven sent Dad, who put in a new kitchen, the duplex is in ship shape and we are all moved in and love it!

I know most people have stopped reading by now cause we all know we only care about the pictures and of course I don't have any. But the last fun thing I did was go to Scottsdale again on a girls trip but this time with the Perry's. Ty's Uncle and his wife just had twins so we went and visited them and of course his other two cousins Piper and Maddie and there mom Elaine. It was really fun to relax IN the pool since it was 112 the whole time and visit with everyone. By the end most of the crew had the flu but we still had tons of fun!

Okay! Now I can look at my blog and not feel guilt all the time for not updating. Also, I don't know if other people do this but I think of something I want to post about but I have about five other things that need to be posted about first so I just don't post anything! So here's to staying up on the posts!

60 is the new 40!

My darling mom turned sixty in April so we decided we better have a PARTY!! My dad reserved the banquet room downstairs at the Market Street Grill and we had all of our family and close friends come celebrate. We had the cutest little rakes that Andrea and Rachael had gotten at each seat as a party favor since my mom loves to garden and Andrea of course did cute flower centerpieces for each table. We had a fun program where Rachael, Tyson, and my mom's best friend Sandra talked about funny moments with my mom, and then we all took a survey on how well we knew her. It was so much fun to get together and celebrate such an awesome lady! We love you mom!

Two New Additions: Mark Ellis and Claire

In January I got a new neice and a new nephew! They were born almost exactly twelve hours apart. Rachael finally got a boy and Andrea finally got a girl! They have been so much fun to have around. Claire is very calm and so so cute with bright blue eyes and tons of dark hair. Mark is much more intense and keeps his mom up all night but thank goodness his little face can melt your heart so you can't get too mad! In April both of them were given their blessings and I have the funniest story I just have to tell about Claire's blessing..... So the whole family is there and it is time for everyone to go up for the blessing and Ty stands up and starts making his way across the row of people. All of a sudden my mom grabs his arm and pulls him down. Well unbenounced to me their Stake President had just sent out an email asking for just the fathers and the grandfathers to be in the circle. I have never seen Ty's face that red in my life! He was so mad at me but I had no idea! I was laughing so hard I couldn't even pay attention to the blessing!
This is the only picture I have of Mark on his blessing day!

The Rest Of April.....

5 guys and a girl
So Ty's friend Firmage got married in LA and made Ty one of his groomsmen so we figured we'd better go :) even though we had planned on going to New York that week. Well Ty's four other friends came; Ryan Jensen, Josh Ison, Cam Castleton, and Quinn Kimball and of course Quinn and Cam's wives at the last minute weren't able to come. That left me with the five boys. But wait it gets better........ Ty and I thought sure why not let's share a hotel room with Jensen to save money. It won't be that bad. It's only fours nights and we won't be in our room that much. Well then when we met Cam at the airport and his wife wasn't able to come we thought sure just bunk up with us on one of the hotel room's rollaway beds. We already have Jensen in our room and boys don't take too long to get ready so it won't be a big deal. Well then lovely Josh and Quinn come rolling into town in Josh's beater civic and you guessed it! They didn't want to spend the money for a hotel room so they slept on the floor of our room. WOW! New York was really looking good at this moment! HA HA! But I made the best of it and we had a good time. Here are a few pictures of our weekend.
We spent the whole first day doing all the touristy stuff..........

This elvis guy was so nasty!
Ty and I on Rodeo drive!Dinner with the groom before the big day!
L.A. Temple....... so pretty! It is crazy how it is planted right in the middle of the city on a really busy street! The lovely groomsmen. They had to wear no tie and flip flops with their suits which really threw Ty for a loop since he hates wearing flip flops let alone with a suit! The last night we drove down to Anaheim and saw an Angels game. It was so fun! We had awesome seats and the Angels played great!

I know I am finishing this post without one picture of the bride and groom but during the reception the whole time I was worrying about videoing everything since Ty was in charge of the video otherwise I would like to think I would have done better at taking pictures. But congratulations to the new Firmages! We wish you the best! (I also apologize for the amount of pictures. I don't know how to do slide shows yet. I am just happy to get a post on here!)

Where did April go?

Well I doubt anyone even checks our blog anymore cause we never update it but we have been crazy busy! I have so much to talk about but I am really tired so I am going to start at the beginning and see how far I get tonight:
Ty and I decided we needed to get away at the beginning of April so when our niece Hadley had a dance competition in St. George we jumped all over it. The two of us left on Wednesday night which was really fun cause we got to drive down there just the two of us and stay at Megan's mom's house for the night. It was so fun to just drive and chat like we used to do on our drives to Idaho Falls that I miss so much. Our lives are so crazy now with conflicting schedules and tight knit families that we don't get the opportunity to hang out with each other just the two of us as much as we'd like so it was fun catching up. Then Ty's family came and spent the rest of the weekend with us. We had so much fun swimming, playing tennis, watching Hadley dance, and most of all just relaxing.

The whole Perry clan at the Pizza Factory!
Ty's cousin Al's cute wife Jane and her adorable baby were in St. George nannying her cousins and met up with us for the dance competition. Is he not the cutest baby you've ever seen?
Ty's nieces Hadley and Maggie enjoying the sun. Unfortunately, I didn't get a picture of Had in her dance costume.... but she sure looked cute!

Happy Birthday Ty!

Ty is now officially 27! He is getting so old! I just want everyone to know how grateful I am for him! He is such a hard worker and such a good friend to me! We had a great time celebrating all weekend in St. George with his family and then on Tuesday we went to Uinta Golf and picked him out a new putter and then went to Tiburon and enjoyed the best food ever! Happy Birthday Ty! I hope you have another great year of your life and I am so happy I get to be apart of it! Love you!
